AVEPOINT’S DATA-DRIVEN ASCENT

I Don’t Know Her

Jefferies named its next big AI play β€”Β and it’s leaving investors asking, β€œWho?”

The firm initiated coverage on little-known software company AvePoint $AVPT ( β–² 1.2% ) with a bullish outlook, assigning the stock a Buy rating and a $22 price target, representing around 19% upside from today’s close.

Analyst Joseph Gallo cited AvePoint’s strong positioning in the data protection space, calling it the β€œindustry standard.” As AI drives demand for more robust data management tools, AvePoint could potentially benefit.

Capitalizing on Complexity

Gallo argues that AvePoint’s unified suite of data solutions makes it a vital player in AI-driven digital transformation.

As enterprise data systems become more complex, businesses will seek streamlined platforms to manage data sprawl, Gallo said, particularly during consolidation.

The analyst believes AvePoint will gain from this shift by offering a single solution to unify and protect enterprise and SMB data environments.

Growth and Profitability in Sight

Looking ahead, Jefferies projects that AvePoint will grow its revenue by over 20% in both 2025 and 2026. In addition, the firm sees a path for the company to become profitable on a GAAP basis, signaling a potential inflection point for long-term investors.

Shares are up a little over 10% in 2025 to date, moderately outpacing major indexes. But according to Gallo, as the AI landscape continues to evolve, AvePoint could separate itself from the pack.
