HAPPY FRIDAY TO THE STREET

It’s Memorial Day Weekend, folks. For starters, we want to use this as a chance to honor the brave men and women who have died while serving in the US Armed Forces.

We know most people associate this holiday with pool opening parties and barbecues. But the reality is that this is actually a somber stretch during which it’s important to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Gone but never forgotten, we mourn and thank you for your service.

To that end, we want to do our part to give back, so we’re launching one of our most open-handed offers yet for Street Sheet Research. Test it out for just $1. You’ll get a 14-day trial to see what you’ve been missing.

And, for anyone who sticks around after the two-week trial, we’ll be donating 50% of the proceeds to Folds of Honor.

Folds of Honor is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides life-changing educational scholarships to the spouses and children of America's fallen or disabled military service members and first responders.

Click here to get started for just $1. We know you’ll have what’s inside, plus you’ll be helping give back to the nation’s best.

FED DECISION IN JUNE?

Kevin Warsh just officially took the Federal Reserve gavel from Jerome Powell. At the swearing in ceremony, President Trump publicly told him "don't look at me” — despite clearly indicating in recent months he’d prefer a cut.

Warsh has vowed he can cut rates and tame inflation at the same time. The market's verdict on his June debut? A 96% chance the central bank holds. Fed independence may be alive and well after all.

THE BACKUP PLAN

Stock Spotlight

  • Stock: Generac Holdings (GNRC)

  • Firm: Jefferies (JEF)

  • Current Price: $270

  • Price Target: $302

  • Implied Upside: 12%

Flip the Switch

Jefferies (JEF) analyst Tanner James flipped his rating on Generac (GNRC) to Buy.

The AI data center buildout needs an enormous amount of backup power, and according to James, Generac is the one selling generators to the gold rush.

Hyperscaler Heat

The analyst points to ongoing negotiations with multiple hyperscalers and what he expects could be two large contract announcements from Generac later this year.

He's also bullish on Generac's Baudouin engines, which he says are landing inside hyperscaler configurations that only GNRC can scale at the volumes demanded. The risk/reward setup, in James' view, is asymmetric and tilted positive.

Translation: heads you win, tails you don't lose much.

The Street's Verdict

Of the 21 analysts covering Generac, 13 rate it a Buy or Strong Buy and the remaining 8 sit at Hold. With the average price target landing around $267, Jefferies' call sits at the bullish end of the dispersion.

Shares are deep in the green year-to-date. Jefferies believes the lights aren't going out anytime soon.
