HAPPY TUESDAY TO THE STREET.

The Fed’s favorite gauge is bouncing between 3% and 5% — just like it did before inflation broke loose in the ‘70s. Back then, it was oil embargoes and wage caps. This time, it’s data-center power demand and political pressure on the Fed.

Investors betting on a ‘90s-style soft landing might be replaying the wrong decade.

JPMORGAN PATTERNS A BUY

A Fresh Pattern Emerges

JPMorgan $JPM ( ▲ 1.2% ) just took a bullish stance on Pattern $PTRN ( ▼ 0.07% ), a newly public e-commerce player with a tech twist. Analyst Doug Anmuth initiated coverage with an Overweight rating and a price target of $18, implying 28% upside from current levels.

Pattern, which calls itself an “e-commerce accelerator,” listed on the Nasdaq last month at $14 a share and has held steady since. The company helps brands sell more effectively on platforms like Amazon $AMZN ( ▼ 0.38% ), using AI tools to optimize pricing, manage inventory, and drive traffic.

JPMorgan believes it’s one of the best new ways for investors to gain exposure to the global shift toward digital retail.

AI Meets the Marketplace

With e-commerce now representing about 23% of total retail sales worldwide, the opportunity is massive — and Pattern may be positioned to capitalize.

Pattern’s model pairs machine learning with real-world logistics. The company says it tracks more than 46 trillion e-commerce data points, applying that intelligence to boost clicks, conversions, and margins for over 200 brand partners across 60 marketplaces in more than 100 countries.

Anmuth believes that the combination of proprietary tech and global reach sets the firm apart from traditional resellers. He expects revenue growth north of 25% annually, powered by marketplace expansion and deeper product assortments.

New Kid, Big Ambitions

Pattern joins a crowded e-commerce landscape but has already drawn support from multiple Wall Street firms. Stifel and KeyBanc both initiated coverage this week with Overweight ratings and identical $18 targets.

As of now, Pattern is far from a household name. But if AI becomes the backbone of global retail, this Nasdaq newcomer could be one algorithm investors want to follow.
