HAPPY SATURDAY TO THE STREET.
And welcome back to Street Tweets from The Street Sheet!
You might’ve heard that Meta $META ( ▲ 0.61% ) CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been dangling $100m comp packages to attract leading AI experts. Apparently, he’s already poached 3 top engineers from OpenAI.
Wait…only 3? Man, that work-life balance at OpenAI must really be strong.
$100m is life-changing money for regular people, but Zuck tosses it around like pocket change. With a net worth of $244b, he could afford to spend $100m per year for the next 2,440 years before running out of cash.

MARKET REVIEW
There have been plenty of green days/weeks so far in 2025, but last week just hit a bit differently.
Indexes returned to all-time highs as investors shrugged off tariff tensions, ongoing Middle East conflicts, rising core inflation, and plenty of other anxiety-inducing issues. Some major movers include Nike $NKE ( ▼ 1.39% ) (+20%), Nvidia $NVDA ( ▲ 0.15% ) (+8%), and Meta (+5%), with plenty of smaller-cap companies jumping double-digits.
All major indexes finished well in the green, with the S&P 500 up 3%, the Dow Jones 3.5%, and the NASDAQ spiking over 4%.
MARKET PREVIEW
On Monday, the Chicago PMI and Dallas Fed Manufacturing Index will be released.
Tuesday will feature the ISM manufacturing index, JOLTs job openings, and, most importantly, Fed chair Jerome Powell’s speech.
Wednesday will bring an update to the ADP employment change.
Thursday will be a busy day, featuring updates on non-farm payrolls, the unemployment rate, the trade balance, ISM services PMI, and more.
Markets will be closed on Friday for the 4th of July.

401(k)s, IRAs, and brokerage accounts rejoice 🥳
Markets are now officially in the green for 2025.
In theory, investors can expect a roughly 5% return for the rest of the year. This would put the market at roughly +10% annually by December (its historical avg).
But, in reality, nobody has any clue how the rest of the year will play out.
Honestly, it’s just nice to enjoy a brief sigh of relief.
After significant studying, and in keeping with President Trump’s vision to make the United States the crypto capital of the world, today I ordered the Great Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to prepare their businesses to count cryptocurrency as an asset for a mortgage.

Can cryptolateral help you buy a house?
BTC could soon hold the same weight as USD when applying for a mortgage.
The US FHFA directed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to start recognizing crypto as an asset for homebuyers. We wouldn’t be surprised if the final bill has a few stipulations, though….
$50,000 in BTC? Sure, that counts as collateral.
$50,000 in assorted memecoins? Ehh….not so much.

(Robo)Cabs are here!
Tesla hosted a major PR launch in Austin to show off its self-driving tech. The rides were supervised and didn’t work 100% perfectly…but the tech is still undeniably awesome.
However, despite its hype, Tesla is still taking a backseat to Google’s Waymo, which already operates roughly 1,500 robotaxis in 5 cities.

BOXABL believes they have the potential to disrupt a massive and outdated trillion-dollar building construction market by bringing assembly line automation to the home industry.
BOXABL homes are built in their Las Vegas factory, folded, shipped on a truck, and then unfolded on site in one hour. They aim to transform home construction, much like how Henry Ford automated car manufacturing – bringing assembly line efficiency and mass production to an artisanal, slow industry.
And they're not just dreaming big; they're delivering:
Initial prototype order delivered to SpaceX in 2020.
Subsequent project order of 156 homes from the Department of Defense completed in 2021.
Now, after implementing what was learned from those prior orders, actively delivering to developers and consumers.

Is corporate America losing its luster?
Minimalist design trends (plus an insatiable desire to cut costs) have led to a “grayification” of corporate America, sparking complaints that the country is getting too boring.
What do you think? Do you prefer the sleek, modern McDonald’s of the 20s? Or the fun, zany McDonald’s of the 90s?

4 words of wisdom from Sam Altman
On that note, we’d like to leave you with some thought bombs dropped by OpenAI’s CEO this past week.
Our personal favorite is number 3. Don’t underestimate the power of just asking for something when you want it.
