Tomorrow's Trade Idea, Today
IF YOU KNOW, YOU NCNO

Growth Potential
Baird has turned bullish on fintech firm nCino $NCNO ( ▼ 1.78% ), upgrading the stock to Outperform from Neutral and raising its price target to $38 per share. This represents around 30% implied upside from today’s close.
Analyst Joe Vruwink cited the macroeconomic environment as a tailwind, saying that it appears increasingly favorable for the company, with signs of renewed spending and product momentum. He emphasized that expectations have recently reset lower, positioning it for further upside.
Additionally, management’s growing confidence in its execution and strategic direction lends a hand to the firm’s optimistic outlook, according to the analyst. nCino expects subscription growth to hit double-digits year-over-year.
The Rule of 40
According to Baird, nCino is gaining traction across several initiatives that could drive meaningful financial performance improvements. The firm believes it is on a path to achieving the “Rule of 40”, which refers to a combined revenue growth rate and profit margin exceeding 40%, a key metric for software companies.
While many of its operational details remain consistent with previous messaging, the elevated tone and execution clarity suggest nCino is potentially poised for growth reacceleration, per the analyst. Vruwink added that management’s enthusiasm during recent meetings added conviction to his firm’s bullish stance.
The Great Reset
The stock is down more than 12% YTD. The company reset its financial guidance earlier this year, which was initially viewed as a negative. However, analysts are beginning to see it as a turning point instead.
The small-cap software firm is still flying under the radar for now. But Baird believes it could be the ideal time to buy NCNO for those in the know — before the rest of Wall Street catches on.
