HAPPY APRIL FOOL’S DAY TO THE STREET

We wished our Research members a "Happy Sunday" in this morning’s monthly report. Mistake or masterfully timed prank? Today, no one can tell.

(Fortunately for us.)

Of course, the market doesn't take the day off just because we mixed up the calendar. It’s Wednesday, and nothing about today's market moves is a joke.

  • 🟩 | US stocks continued their rebound today as oil prices continued to fall on growing Middle East optimism.

  • 📈 | One Notable Gainer: Intel (INTC) surged after announcing a $14.2B repurchase of its Ireland chip fab stake from Apollo Global Management (APO).

  • 📉 | One Notable Decliner: Nike (NKE) slumped on a slew of downgrades, following mixed quarterly results.

DYE ANOTHER DAY

Stock Spotlight

  • Stock: Sensient Technologies (SXT)

  • Firm: UBS (UBS)

  • Current Price: $92

  • Price Target: $115

  • Implied Upside: 25%

A Certified Dye-Hard

UBS initiated coverage on food dye maker Sensient Technologies with a Buy, calling it the prime beneficiary of a coming US shift away from synthetic food dyes that the bank expects to accelerate sharply in the second half of 2026.

Analyst Joshua Spector sees natural color adoption hitting a tipping point as grocers and food producers race to hit conversion targets before the start of 2027.

Not on the Label Yet

Sensient is the world's largest natural color producer, with roughly 60% of its sales tied to North America. Spector projects the company's color group could grow by more than 200% by 2030.

UBS argues that this trajectory isn't close to being priced in. The stock trades at only a slight premium to its historical average, despite what the bank sees as a materially stronger growth outlook ahead.

Still Coloring Outside the Lines

Only three analysts cover the stock. Two are bullish, one holds.

Shares are in the red over the past month, though they've outperformed the broader market year-to-date.

For a company sitting squarely at the center of one of the year's most consequential regulatory shifts, that's a lot of upside still waiting for a coat of paint.
