HAPPY MONDAY TO THE STREET
Levi Strauss (LEVI) has an unusual strategy to sell new jeans: teach high schoolers to repair their old ones. The legacy denim-maker created a handstitching course for secondary school students, as Gen Z shows a growing preference for sustainable and durable clothes that can be thrifted, patched, and kept.
Even “fast-fashion” names have gotten in on the trend, with Primark, Uniqlo, and Zara launching in-house resale, alteration, and repair services. It may not help move new product, but analysts say it’s a “halo” in the eyes of audiences. And as much as reliable brands matter to consumers, reliable consumers matter to brands.

Reversal of Sentiment
Erik Woodring spent the past year on the wrong side of the enterprise hardware trade, betting record component inflation would choke off any recovery.
He has since changed his mind, moving Hewlett Packard Enterprise to Overweight on the view that hardware demand won’t slow anytime soon.
Chipflation Nation
Memory prices keep climbing, and Woodring now reads that as a multi-year condition, rather than a reason to wait.
Enterprises are now pulling PC, server, and storage orders forward to lock in pricing before shortages bite. That feeds the upcycle, the stretch of years when businesses refresh and expand their hardware all at once.
And the AI data center buildout stands to extend it further, although Morgan Stanley is careful to call the trend “longer”, not permanent.
Street Cred
Woodring is a little late to the party. Of the 23 analysts covering the stock, 14 rate it a Buy or Strong Buy, and shares have run hot over the past year.
However, the analyst argues, judging by the order books, it’s not too late to get in. The line at the hardware counter is still out the door.
