HAPPY FRIDAY TO THE STREET.

Nothing like a shot of schadenfreude to spice up your Friday. And what misfortune feels more wholesome than a billionaire bombing on the big stage?

In case you missed it, Mark Zuckerberg’s demo of Meta’s $META ( β–Ό 0.24% ) new AI-powered Ray-Bans did not go well. In an impressive feat of innovation, Zuck managed to one-up the cringe of his Sweet Baby Rays supercut by trying and failing to place a WhatsApp call with his new tech β€” four times in a row.

To be fair, it’s not the first time a Big Tech CEO has had a very public bad day. So let’s hope Zuck heeds the classic stand-up advice: bomb tonight, get back on stage tomorrow. If nothing else, FinTwit will be forever thankful.

Finally, read to the end for the callout on Wall Street’s favorite magic trick…

Tomorrow's Trade Idea, Today

A FRESH LOOK FOR THE SWOOSH

A Change in Stride

Nike $NKE ( β–Ό 1.68% ) has been outrun by the broader S&P 500 all year. The former is down nearly 4% YTD, while the latter continues to reach new finish lines in record time.

Now, RBC $RY ( β–² 0.75% ) is telling Nike-curious investors, β€œJust do it.” The firm’s analyst Piral Dadhania raised the stock to Outperform and lifted the price target to $90 from $76, implying about 27% upside from recent levels.

The upgrade follows a broad leadership shake-up at the company. CEO Elliott Hill has overhauled Nike’s organizational structure this year, filling senior roles with new or newly reassigned executives. RBC believes the changes should create faster, more accountable decision-making and support growth into 2026.

Product Push Ahead

RBC also highlighted Nike’s aggressive product refresh. The company plans to release 26 running shoes through the end of next year, more than any rival.

New apparel lines featuring FlyWeb and Radical AirFlow materials are also set to launch, with the aim of boosting performance and retail appeal.

β€œWith a more commercial line-up that has sufficient distinction in use case and aesthetic, Nike should be in a better position to engage with retail partners,” Dadhania wrote. He added that a refreshed lineup could translate into more distribution and shelf space.

Street View

Nike’s outlook has divided analysts. According to LSEG, 19 rate it a Buy or Strong Buy, while nearly half advise holding the stock.

RBC’s call marks one of the more bullish takes, pointing to a combination of organizational renewal and a crowded product calendar.

Whether Nike’s latest sprint closes the performance gap with peers will depend on how quickly new leadership and fresh designs resonate with shoppers. For now, RBC sees enough momentum to warrant a higher rating.
