HAPPY MONDAY TO THE STREET
Apple (AAPL) picking season is officially upon us.
Just a week after grabbing headlines with its new smart home product, the tech giant sent invites for an Oct 28 event in LA, cheekily dubbed "Pro & Tell”. Analysts expect new Macs, possibly including the company's first touchscreen laptop.
Back in 2018, Apple's software chief argued touching a laptop screen would wear users out. But it’s been a year of about-faces for a company that resisted foldable phones and countertop home devices for a near-decade too.
Just another reminder than historical precedence is no guarantee of future results.
🟩 | US stocks rebounded today. The Nasdaq Composite surged more than 1% on the Monday following its worst week since April 2025, lifted by AI stocks.

Sit, Stay, Outperform
Datadog's AI fan club just added a member.
Bernstein upgraded the surging cloud monitoring company to Outperform, pointing to its "Born in AI" customer base as the key demand driver.
Token Appreciation
Analyst Peter Weed thinks those AI-native clients could make his firm's own long-term forecast look conservative.
Weed's alternative data suggests enterprise token consumption grew at least 50% quarter over quarter among the largest AI labs. Smaller AI-native customers may be growing even faster.
He also sees new consumer AI agents driving up engagement, which could lift observability needs for Datadog's traditional customers too.
Leader of the Pack
The main downside risk, per Weed, is big customers eventually moving monitoring in-house or to open source tools. He sees that as a longer-term issue, since fast-growing AI labs lack the bandwidth to build their own for now.
The Street is already barking up the same tree. Of the 49 analysts covering the stock, 46 rate it a Buy or Strong Buy.
Shares have run very hot this year, up nearly 100% since January. But Bernstein thinks Datadog has still got that DDOG in it.
